Plum Blossom Mooncakes

Packaging DesignPrint

Inspired by the visual form of Chinese plum blossoms, I created an illustrative pattern for an assortment of mooncake packaging. By testing different color combinations and proximities, I paired them with a flavor that best emulated the specific color palette. I printed and assembled physical paper mockups that brings my patterns and color explorations to life.

Process

Before finalizing the design for the final output, I played around with different patterns and color palettes inspired by the formal qualities of a flower. I started off with constructing patterns using geometric shapes which progressively got more illustrative.
