Summer in Bloom

I designed a brand identity for a made-up music festival based in the Bay Area. I constructed a system for a series of posters that informed the development of a guideline book that dictates the design rules for the overall identity of Summer in Bloom. Logo usage, color palette, hierarchy, imagery, and typographic choices are all established within the style guide to ensure all the visual elements are aligned with the core values of the festival. I created mockups that brings this brand to life.

Process



I designed the music festival logo first which later informed the construction and layout of the entire brand identity. I played around with different typographic pairings to create a logo that conveyed a sense of boldness and summer energy. After the development of the Summer in Bloom logo, I made several iterations of the poster system, experimenting with typographic hierarchy in relation to visual imagery.
